Beijing D1 - Typical Chinese Breakfast

Dumplings and Tea Leaf Egg

We managed to scramble to bed this early morning at 1am as we reached the hotel by midnight; for all subsequent days, our biological clock woke us up at 6am when the sun was already high up in the sky!

Drink of Millet Porridge 小米粥 , Soya Bean Milk with Fried Fritters

Wanton Soup with Seaweed and Sesame oil

First thing today was to have a taste of Beijing before we begin our day of Hutongs' hunting from where our hotel is.

This was the sort of breakfast that was easily found along the main streets of Beijing; where restaurants operating at the later hour of the day rented out their spaces to these breakfast operators. No paper menu, just ask the cheery lady what do they have ;) Our simple meal at  ¥12.50 (S$2.40)

Our Accommodation: 星海琪假日酒店, The Hutong Crossroad Inn
