$2 Laksa !

Laksa ($2)

"I want a photo of this!" i exclaimed when Ric came back with the bowl of Laksa from our favourite Carrot Cake stall in North Bridge Rd Market.

Yeah, it's just a setup of a small Laksa cooking station inside the Carrot cake stall but we decidedly felt they deserve our support for offering such economic fare - and it turns out to be a bowl of real fine Laksa! The Laksa curry was of the right consistency, the Tau Pok had soaked up the flavorsome broth, generous serving of noodles and perfectly fresh Cockles!

6 little plump Cockles in all! Must support ok ;)

What has inflation done to the pricing of our hawker food? It's extremely rare to find nice $2 food nowadays... The $2 Prawn Noodle in the same market had upped their price to $2.50 but it's still very much worth the buy given its large serve portion.

If you like Lor Mee, remember to try out 珍好卤面 in the same market.

Sorry, just saw your post about the Lor Mee stall. By the way, if you are at the area again, go to Block 466, Tai Hwa Eating House, there is a stall called 沈阳风味, go try their fried dumpling and 葱油饼. I am sure it will remind you of "House of Dumpling".
