Grilling Brat (wurst)

"Best Brats are the natural, uncooked sausages..." i read.
And so is mine, from QB Frozen Food.

STEPS:
1. Thaw the hard frozen sausages thoroughly.
2. Prick sausages 1/4 inch deep with a fork at 2-3 locations, per sausage.
3. Layer oven tray with aluminium foil for ease of cleaning up.
4. Uncooked fresh sausage may then be cooked directly in the oven over medium heat of 170-200 degrees for 10mins, turn the sausages (if you are on 1 side heating) for another 10mins, and it's done.
5. Rest sausages from heat for 10mins before cutting them up so they don't lost its juices.

As you can see, i made slight cuttings on the Brats before cooking, next time i shall just prick it to minimise the oozing out of meat juices during cooking. Of course, Brats will have more grease in there if not pierced.

If you decide to have it as a hot dog bun, top up with Mustard - the traditional dipping sauce for Bratwurst. We are having ours plain with red wine tonight ;)
